Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship Library Interior Design Against the Interests Been to Directorate Library Indonesian Islamic University in Yogyakarta. In there are two variables in the study, the independent variable (the relationship of interior design) and dependent variables (interest of students to visit the Directorate of Library Universitas Islam Indonesia Yogyakarta). This type of research is a correlation study. Sampling technique in this study is a random sample or a random sample, so this study gives equal rights to all subjects selected for the opportunity to sample. The sample in this study amounted to 99 respondents. Analysis of the data used by the formula Grend mean and mean, then correlate the data using product moment correlation formula and aids SPSS 16 for windows. The results obtained from the use of SPSS and count count manually using product moment correlation formula, r-Calculate the results obtained by 0.096. From these results it can be concluded that, r-Count (0.096) <r-table both at significance level of 5% (0195) and the significant level of 1% (0.256), so in this study there was no positive relationship between the library interior design interest of students to visit the Directorate of Library Universitas Islam Indonesia Yogyakarta, it is because that-Compute r <r-table. Calculate r-known result of (0.096), whereas (0.904) may be related to interest in visiting other factors such as circulation services at the library, library facilities, the attitude of librarians in the library, and the availability of the collection at the library.
