Abstract

This research aims to know the correlation between the active participation in scout extracurricular activities with teen self-regulation in Sleman Regency. The subjects of this research is teeneger in Sleman Regency which is taken from six secondary high schools equal cluster random sampling. The sample of this research are MA Ibnuul Qoyyim, MAN 2 Sleman, SMA Negeri 1 Depok, SMA Kolombo Sleman, SMK Negeri 2 Depok, and SMK Kesehatan Binatama with total subject of 189 students. Method of data collection in this research using Self Regulation Scale and scale of Active Participation Extracurricular. Data analysis was performed with Spearman Rho correlation technique. The results of this research shows that there is significant positive relationship between the active participation variable of scout extracurricular activities against self regulation variable with rxy (correlation coefficient) = 0,824 with p (significance) = 0,000 (p 0,05). It means there is a significant relationship between the active participation of scout extracurricular with teenage self-regulation in Sleman Regency, where the higher the active participation of scout extracurricular has high teenage self-regulation, and the lower active participation. of scout extracurricular, has low teenage self regulation. Active participation in scout extracurricular activities variable contributes to teen self-regulation amounted to 67,1%, show with R squre : 0,671.
