Abstract

Selection of Exemplary Employees aims to motivate employee performance. Usually companies/agencies have their own way of selecting employees based on direct observations of how employees work, but the old method used is subjective, less structured and less practical, therefore it is necessary to build a system that can help facilitate decision making. In general, decision makers often have difficulty determining the right method. The purpose of this study was to compare the accuracy results between the Technique For Others Reference By Similarity To Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and Weighted Product (WP) methods in selecting exemplary employees at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara VII. The end result of this calculation process is the higher the level of accuracy, the more the method will be chosen to determine exemplary employees. Based on the research that has been done, the TOPSIS method has an accuracy of 53.33%, while the WP method has an accuracy of 73.33%. The WP method has greater accuracy than the TOPSIS method, so the more relevant method used for determining exemplary employees at PT Perkebunan Nusantara VII is the WP method.
