Abstract

Learning Management System (LMS) a type of software to support online learning. As an LMS software application, it will be adopted more and more if according to the user's perception, the system is easy to use. To assess the ease of LMS measurement, it is necessary to investigate the usability level of the system. This study intends to investigate the level of usability of two types of LMS applications, namely Google Classroom and Moodle. This study uses a quantitative approach. The research design used was a survey with data collection methods through questionnaires. The instruments used in this study are the Computer System Usability Questionnaire (CSUQ), System Usability Scale (SUS), Net Promoter Score (NPS), Nielsen' Attributes of Usability (NAU), Nielsen's Usability Heuristics, Factors Influencing User Experience, and Factors Affecting usability. Data processing in this study uses descriptive and inferential analysis. Descriptive analysis is carried out by calculating the mean value of the usability level, while inferential analysis is carried out by conducting different tests consisting of the Mann Whitney test and the Equivalence Test. The results of the different test can be stated that of the 52 sub-criteria for measuring usability level, there are 26 sub-criteria that are declared different, 25 sub-criteria that are declared different but practically not significant, and 1 sub-criteria that are declared not different, with a range of statistical power values between 0.68 to 1.00. So it can be concluded that Google Classroom has a better level of usability than Moodle, but for most of the sub-criteria the differences are practically insignificant
