Abstract

The background of this research stems from one of the impacts of the covid-19 pandemic. In the world of education, learning that was originally offline has turned into online. However, in its application there are still several obstacles, especially at MAN 3 Bantul, such as the lack of roles of the head of the madrasah and teachers in the implementation of online learning, as well as the lack of enthusiasm of students in participating in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the influence of the leadership of the madrasah principal on the effectiveness of online learning during a pandemic through the control variables of facilities and infrastructure. This type of research is quantitative research conducted at MAN 3 Bantul with the number of respondents as many as 55 teachers. Sampling was carried out using the saturated sampling technique. This study uses the validity test of through the bivariate correlation and the reliability of the data through Cronbach's alpha's. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using the SPSS version 23 application The results showed that there was a positive and significant effect between the leadership of the madrasah principal on the effectiveness of online learning during the pandemic with a significance number of 0,14 which means less than = 0,05. Meanwhile, through the regression analysis test, the results of the comparison of the regression coefficient of the leadership of the madrasah principal with the regression coefficient of facilities and infrastructure were obtained, namely b1 < b2 = 0,644 < 0,961. So it can be said that the leadership of the madrasah principal affects the effectiveness of online learning during the pandemic when it is controlled by the availability of facilities and infrastructure. There is a positive and significant influence between the leadership of the madrasah principal on the effectiveness of online learning in the 'pandemic period through the variables of facilities and infrastructure with a coefficient of determination R² of 0,375 which means that the leadership variable of the madrasah principal and infrastructure is able to explain the variables of the effectiveness of online learning in the pandemic period of 37,5%, while 62,5% was explained by other factors not examined in this thesis. The multiple regression equation is Y = 9,350 + 0,644X1+ 0,961X2. The conclusion in this study is that the leadership of the head of "madrasah is able to contribute to the effectiveness of online learning during a "pandemic period if it is supported by adequate facilities and infrastructure."
