Abstract

The phenomenon of traveling is increasing in Indonesia, even being used as a lifestyle, especially among Generation Z. This happens because information can be accessed easily through social media. One of the popular social media is TikTok. Many content creators share content about traveling, one of which is the TikTok account @dolan.aja. The purpose of this study is to find out the audience's reception of the Generation Z traveling lifestyle on the TikTok @dolan.aja account. This research is qualitative research using the reception analysis method. Data collection is done through interviews, observations, and documentation. To check the validity of data using source triangulation. The results of this study show that most informants are in the dominant reading position. This is because informants have different backgrounds. They feel that they have the same thought that traveling is part of the Generation Z lifestyle. Besides that, there are two informants who are included in the negotional reading, because they feel that traveling is not their lifestyle and wastes too much time, unless it is only done occasionally.
