Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the concept of human and computer interaction at the IBRA library information system implementation in Bantul District Public Library, uses the concept of Human and Computer Interaction, with nine varieties that include an interactive dialogue: Dialogue-Based Single Command, Dialog Based Programming Language, Natural Language Interface, System Menu, Form Filling Dialogue, icon-based interface, Windowing System, Direct Manipulation and Graphical Based Interaction Interface. And eleven properties of the nine kinds of dialogue, namely: initiative, flexibility, complexity, strength, cost information, consistency, feedback, observability, controlability, efficiency, and balance. IBRA Library Information System is based Library Information Systems of the Technology is very reliable and very suitable for managing different kinds of libraries, of library institutions, library agencies, university libraries, school libraries, to the personal library, as well as for collectors of information. The method used is a qualitative method using inductive analysis approach to the exclusion of initial research hypothesis, but look for patterns, shapes and themes to be able to disclose the data systematically. The results of this study is the Concept of Human and Computer Interaction at the Library Information System IBRA has been applied, by applying the six kinds of dialogue from various dialogues and eleven nine important properties of nine kinds of dialogue already be implemented. Researchers recommend to add a variety of dialogue that is still lacking, and functioning optimally all menus contained in the IBRA, because the functions of each menu is very good and if utilized to its maximum, then the system will facilitate the work of employees in the Public Library of Bantul District.
