Abstract

Puncak Sosok is one of the tourist attractions in Yogyakarta, offering natural scenery and the ambiance of Yogyakarta city during the night. On the New Year's Eve of 2023, the number of visitors to Puncak Sosok around 5000 visitors. The researcher chose to research via social media Instagram on the account @puncak_sosok because Instagram account of Puncak Sosok has a high number of followers. This research aims to find out how much influence photos on the Instagram account @puncak_sosok used the Stimulusis-Response (SR) theory on tourists' interest in visiting the Puncak Sosok tourist destination. The method in this research is quantitative research. The sampling technique used a simple random sampling technique with the number of samples taken being 100 people. The data obtained was measured using a Likert scale with five answer choices. Data analysis in this research used a simple linear regression test. The results of the simple linear regression test show that the value of the photo on the Instagram account @puncak_sosok is 0.544 in a positive direction. The coefficient of determination test result was 0.591, which means that photos on the Instagram account @puncak_sosok can explain visitor interest in Puncak Sosok by 59.1%. Based on the research results, it shows that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence from photos on the Instagram account @puncak_sosok on visitors' interest in visiting.
