Abstract

This research aim to know skill of literacy information students in Islamic Elementary School Teaching UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta grade 2010/2011 using standard Empowering 8™ which have 8 steps, identify, explore, select, organize, create, present, assess, and apply of information. Method which used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. Population in this research is all students in Islamic Elementary School Teaching UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta at grade 2010/2011. This research is a population research, so the number of population become a sample research. Based on the data that have been processed to be known that grade 2010/ 2011 student information literacy in Islamic Elementary School Teaching UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta pertained good category proven by Grand Mean equal to 2,83. From identify step, pertained good with Grand Mean equal 2,66. From explore step, pertained good category with Grand Mean equal 2,82. From select of information step, pertained good category with Grand Mean equal 2,71. From organize of information step, pertained good category with Grand Mean equal 2,83. From create of information step, pertained good category with Grand Mean equal 2,97. From present of information step, pertained good category with Grand Mean equal 2,83.
