Abstract

This research discusses the use of Instagram libraries at State University in Yogyakarta during the pandemic, namely @perpusuinyogyakarta, @perpustakaan_ugm, and @uny_library. This study aims to find out the development of Instagram content during the pandemic, to find out the type of content uploaded, to find out the frequency of Instagram usage activities, and to find out user interactions with Instagram content uploads on the three Instagram accounts. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The informants of this study were managers of Instagram accounts at each library, while data collection techniques were observation, interviews and documentation. The technique to test the validity of the data uses credibility techniques with sources triangulation methods and uses confirmability techniques. The results of this study are that two of the three Instagram libraries experienced significant content development, the three Instagram libraries uploaded the most types of content related to library information, while the highest frequency of activity using Instagram belonged to @perpusuinyogyakarta with 830 posts, then @perpustakaan_ugm with 297 posts, and the lowest usage activity belongs to @uny_library with 12 posts. User interactions in uploading Instagram library content @perpusuinyogyakarta and @perpustakaan_ugm mostly occur in knowledge-related content uploads, whereas in @uny_library user interactions are more interested in content related to library information. From the results of the content analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the use of Instagram from the three accounts is a place to share updated information
